Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital Scholarships

Girod Medical Scholarship

Background

The Girod Medical Scholarship is offered annually by the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation to one or more east Linn County residents pursuing studies in the medical field. The scholarship honors Frank Girod, M.D., whose distinguished career was devoted to enhancing rural health care.

Eligibility

To qualify for the Girod Scholarship, applicants must have a primary residence in Brownsville, Cascadia, Crabtree, Crawfordsville, Foster, Halsey, Lacomb, Lebanon, Scio, Shedd, Sweet Home, Tangent or Waterloo.

Additional qualifications include acceptance to or attendance at an accredited medical school and work toward a degree in family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, obstetrics-gynecology, and/or a surgical specialty.

SLCH Auxiliary Scholarship

Background

The Auxiliary Scholarship is offered by the Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital Auxiliary. Four $1,000 scholarships will be offered to qualified applicants.

Eligibility

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must show their primary residence to be in Brownsville, Cascadia, Crabtree, Crawfordsville, Foster, Halsey, Lacomb, Lebanon, Scio, Shedd, Sweet Home, Tangent or Waterloo. Additionally, applicants must be currently attending college and majoring in a medical field
