Hard to swallow? Learn more at Lebanon hospital seminar

Aug 6,2013
When is a swallowing difficulty a real problem? Is it a problem when you take a sip of a beverage, and you end up in a coughing fit? What if you have other health conditions, like an infection or a previous stroke?

Learn more at the next Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies seminar with John Tracy, speech pathologist at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. He will discuss normal and abnormal swallowing patterns, and he will offer tips to prevent incidental swallowing problems and control swallowing difficulties that result from other conditions.

The seminar will be Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in conference rooms B and C. This seminar is free, as are the easy-to-swallow snacks we’ll provide.

Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Register today by calling toll free 1-855-873-0647, or going online to samhealth.org/BeHealthy.
