Have you been diagnosed with prediabetes? Take a prevention course!

Studies show that people with prediabetes who lose a modest amount of weight -five to seven percent- increase their physical activity to 150 minutes per week and appropriate manage stress, can prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes.

If you have been diagnosed with prediabetes, you are invited to join the diabetes educators at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center for a free 12-week prevention program where you will learn tools to help manage a prediabetes diagnosis.

Held on Wednesdays, Sept. 4 through Nov. 20, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic in Corvallis, each session will support participants through a 16-step program hosted by Registered Dietician Theresa Anderson.
