Healthy eating - what is it? Find out at Albany hospital seminar

Jul 5,2013
What exactly goes into a healthy meal? Does everything you eat need to be fresh and local? How large should your portions be? And are all processed foods bad?

Find out more at the next Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies seminar at Samaritan Albany General Hospital on Wednesday, July 17. Registered dietitians Jessica Snyder and Heidi Graham will give tips on healthy eating in any season, eating locally produced foods and not making meals too large. They will also demonstrate how to make a healthy smoothie with fresh local ingredients.

The free conference will go from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in conference rooms A and B on the hospital's third floor. Heart-healthy snacks will be provided.

Pre-registration is required as space is limited. To register, call 541-768-4887 or visit samhealth.org/BeHealthy.
