Lebanon hospital completes nursery expansion
Thanks to a $40,000 commitment from the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation, the nursery at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital is now expanded to continue meeting the needs of the growing communities of east Linn County.
The remodeled nursery in the hospital’s Girod Birth Center has space for more infants, and additional space for nursing staff to work. It also now also features a pass-through window to the Caesarian Section room, allowing for quick transfer from the procedure room to the nursery for immediate continued care of the baby when time is critical.
“This has greatly increased the space and safety for our babies,” said Juel Radtke, nurse manager of the birth center. “We deeply appreciate the foundation’s commitment to this project.”
