New psychiatrist joins Samaritan Mental Health in Albany

Samaritan Mental Health in Albany recently welcomed Kenneth Erickson, MD, PhD, a psychiatrist who provides outpatient therapy for adolescents and adults.

Dr. Erickson received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Redlands in Redlands, Calif., a medical degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, Calif., and a doctoral degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He completed residency training at the Oregon State Hospital in Salem. Dr. Erickson is board certified in psychiatry and neurology.

Dr. Erickson’s more than 25 years of practicing psychiatry have included working in private practice, directing an adolescent drug treatment center and working at several inpatient psychiatric programs. He enjoys working with a wide range of conditions and issues and has a special interest in treating depression and anxiety.

In his free time, Dr. Erickson enjoys traveling, playing tennis, chess and Scrabble, and spending time with his wife and children.
