Renew this spring with nutrition and wellness classes

This spring, Samaritan Heartspring Wellness Center in Albany will host a three-part series on diet and healing, presented by Registered Dietitian Barbara George, RD, and Lisa Morisette, CHC. Participants may sign up for one, two, or all three sessions.

Sessions include:  

The anti-inflammatory diet, May 6
There is a strong connection between diet and inflammation and how it can affect your overall health and well-being. Discover how inflammation increases your risk for chronic disease and how to change your diet to lessen the effect. Cost: $10 

Eating for energy, May 13
Learn to choose the foods that support your metabolism. This class explains how the body responds to different foods and how to plan meals that reduce unwanted belly fat, improve energy, prevent cravings and maximize overall health.  Cost: $10 

Nutrition renovation, May 20
Nourish your body and your life with a simple whole foods diet. This class includes tips on planning and preparing enjoyable, nourishing meals. Eat well, be well. You can afford it, and you can’t afford not to. Cost: $10  

All classes start at 5:30 p.m. at Samaritan Heartspring Wellness Center, 1700 Geary Street SE, Albany. Participants are asked to come early to sign in.
