Oct 11,2013
OB/GYN physician, Meredith Mann, DO, has joined Samaritan Obstetrics & Gynecology in Lincoln City.

Dr. Mann earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of San Diego Honors Program, a master’s degree in health professions education from Western University of Health Sciences – College of Allied Health Professions, and a medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences - College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. She completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon, Michigan, where she served as chief resident.

“We are so pleased to welcome a female OB/GYN to Lincoln City,” said Ronalee Knight, manager of Samaritan Obstetrics & Gynecology. “She will be a great addition to both our clinic and the community.”

Dr. Mann provides a range of care for women, including gynecological care, preventive care, family planning, prenatal care, childbirth and gynecological surgery. She incorporates osteopathic manipulative medicine – which involves using the hands to diagnose, treat and prevent illness or injury – in patient care, to help women maintain optimum health and to ease pain during pregnancy and labor.

Born and raised in Tacoma, Wash., Dr. Mann is happy to be practicing in the Pacific Northwest.

“I respect the values and mission of Samaritan Health Services, and the strong community support for Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital,” Dr. Mann said. “I’m excited to join Dr. Michael Cheek in his dedicated commitment to the women of Lincoln County and I look forward to working with him to expand local OB/GYN services.”

In her free time, Dr. Mann enjoys spending time at home with her husband and 1-year-old son, taking neighborhood walks, running, hiking, baking, taking photographs and traveling. She has made three medical mission trips to Africa, most recently providing gynecological surgery services to women of Togo, West Africa.

Dr. Mann is accepting new patients. For information and to make an appointment, call Samaritan Obstetrics & Gynecology at 541-994-4440.
