Samaritan honored as Nurse of the Year
Infection Preventionist Jennifer Zeck, RN, of Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center was honored with the General Medical and Surgical Services Nurse of the Year award at the March of Dimes nursing award event held Nov. 2 in Portland.
Zeck, along with 19 other Samaritan nurses, were nominated by their peers for Nurse of the Year awards in various categories.
“Jennifer has been instrumental in implementing a number of successful programs at our hospital,” said Good Sam’s Vice President of Patient Care Services Kathy Hale, as she presented the award to Zeck at the event. “She has developed effective working relationships with both nurses and physicians by being fair, understanding, open to suggestions and most importantly, respectful. She is an outstanding RN who leads by example. I am proud to work with such an amazing person, who exemplifies nursing at its best!”
