Samaritan physician assumes role on State Academy Board
Lance McQuillan, MD, co-director of the Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic in Corvallis has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Oregon Academy of Family Physicians.
The Oregon Academy of Family Physicians is the largest medical specialty society in Oregon and represents more than 1,400 family physicians, residents and medical students throughout the state. The mission of the organization is to advocate for family physicians and assist them in providing for the health of their patients and communities.
McQuillan earned a medical degree in 2003 from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed residency training in 2006 at the Family Medicine of SW Washington Family Medicine Residency Program. Since 2009, McQuillan has worked at Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic. He is on the Samaritan Health Physicians board of directors and was named the Family Medicine Teacher of the Year for Samaritan Health Residency Programs in 2011.
