Women’s giving circle grants more than $42,000 to local programs

The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation WISH (Women Investing in Samaritan Health) giving circle marked its seventh anniversary of annual giving by granting more than $42,000 to local programs that benefit women, children and families.

Since its inception in 2004, WISH has provided more than $200,000 in funding to dozens of programs which improve the health and well-being of families in our community.

WISH donations will provide the following grants for women, children and families in our community:

Child and family outreach education program, Samaritan Mental Health Family Center – $6,900

Smoking cessation program, Community Outreach, Inc. – $5,000

Breast milk donor program, Center for Women and Families, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center – $5,000

In-office fetal monitoring system, Samaritan OBGYN – $5,000

Acupressure for ADHD children, Samaritan Cardiology and Pediatrics – $2,500

Puttin' on the Pink Education Day 2012, The Corvallis Clinic Foundation – $5,000
Therapeutic treatment for children and teens, Samaritan Mental Health Family Center ­– $5,000

STAT Baby baby mannequin for pediatric life support training for nurses, Samaritan Professional Development – $3,570

Momma-baby group, support group for Latina mothers, Heart of the Valley Birth Center – $4,140
