Corvallis-based orthopaedic clinic continues to expand

Samaritan Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Center of Corvallis recently welcomed four new providers, adding total joint surgery and hand and upper extremity surgery to its list of specialties.
James Ryan, MD, is a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon specializing in total joint replacement. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego in animal physiology and neuroscience and a medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Ryan completed residency training at the University of California, Davis and fellowship training in adult reconstruction and total joint replacement at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
Peter Tsai, MD, is a board-eligible hand and upper extremity surgeon. He received a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in Providence, R.I., and a medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. Tsai completed residency training in orthopaedic surgery at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases and fellowship training in hand surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Tiara Packer, PA-C, assists Ryan with clinical and surgery cases. She received a bachelor’s degree in recreation and park management from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. Packer is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Emily Olson, PA-C, assists Tsai with clinical and surgery cases. She received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Western Washington University in Bellingham and a master’s of science in physician assistant studies from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va. Olson is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
