A tasty way to drink your veggies

If you love leafy greens, you will love this recipe from Barbara George, RD, from Heartspring Wellness Center. If you have an aversion to leafy greens, you just might change your mind after trying out this healthy green smoothie recipe. 

Bunch of spinach leaves
Water
¼ cup parsley
½ cup blueberries, may substitute strawberries or other berry combo
¼ cup flax seed meal (not seeds)
1 banana
¼ cup apple juice or more for desired consistency

Fill half of blender with clean spinach leaves and add water to level of spinach, but not covering.  Add parsley and then liquefy to a bright green.  Blend in fruit, flax seed meal and apple juice to desired consistency and enjoy. more recipes »
