Samaritan Evergreen Hospice will host a free meeting for anyone interested in becoming a hospice volunteer.
The meeting will be held on Wed., March 28 from 2 to 3:20 p.m. at the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice administration office, located on the corner of 11th and Elm in Albany. Light refreshments will be provided.
The meeting will cover hospice volunteer responsibilities, time commitments and how volunteers support terminally ill patients and their families. Evergreen will be looking for volunteers interested in helping out at the new Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House facility, opening in July.
Samaritan Evergreen Hospice has long been motivated by a mission and compassion for the dying and their families. Evergreen is a local, non-profit organization that has served the community for more than 25 years. It is also part of Samaritan Health Services, a comprehensive health care system, which allows for seamless coordination with other medical providers.
