Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Director Jeff Larson has been appointed to the state Health Information Technology Oversight Council’s strategic workgroup.
The council’s mission is to coordinate public and private statewide efforts to adopt and coordinate the exchange of electronic health records.
“The federal government has made improving efficiency and quality in medical care through health information technology a priority,” Larson said. “We want to be ahead of the curve.”
The workgroup is made up of individuals representing the fields of health information technology, health care administration, medical care providers, medical records specialists, non-profit governance and more. The group will provide input to the council on goals and plans for health information technology.
