Feb 7,2011

Gail KimberlingThe North Lincoln Hospital Foundation has elected Gail Kimberling and Ann Butler to serve as president and vice president of the board of trustees. Each will serve a two-year term beginning January 2011.

Kimberling has served on the board since January 2009 and is looking forward to her first term as president.

“This will be an exciting year for the foundation and we have much to accomplish.  I know that with the continued support of the community this great board will meet and no doubt exceed the goals we have set,” said Kimberling.

At the top of her to-do list is raising funds for the Samaritan Early Learning Center’s new building. The hospital foundation is responsible for raising $350,000 of the $936,000 required to build the new facility. One hundred percent of the NLH Foundation trustees have personally donated to the campaign, raising 10 percent of the $350,000.

In addition, Kimberling plans to focus on educating the community about the relationships between the hospital, foundation and North Lincoln Health District.

Butler is beginning her fifth year as a board trustee and her first as an officer. She has been an active member of the foundation’s charity golf tournament committee for five years and chairman of that committee for the past three years.

“This tournament continues to be the highlight of the fall season for our community. The committee is honored to put this event together and support the foundation in a way that is meaningful in addition to being enjoyable,” said Butler.

Connie Isaac, executive director for the hospital foundation said, “I am looking forward to working with both Gail and Ann. They will be a great asset not only to the foundation, but to the community.”

The board’s officers also include returning members Estle Harlan, immediate past president, the Rev. Robert Morrison, secretary, and Ron Tierney, treasurer.
