Samaritan Albany Internal Medicine Group recently welcomed a pulmonologist,
George Giacoppe, MD.
Giacoppe earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and German from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Md. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, Calif., fellowship training in pulmonary medicine at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colo., and an additional fellowship in critical care medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash. He is accepting new patients by physician referral.
Giacoppe is married with five children, ages 2 to 15. He and his family are looking forward to settling down after an Army career and becoming part of the beautiful and exciting Albany community. In his free time, Giacoppe enjoys bicycling and perusing the farmer's market.
