May 10,2010
The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation is hosting a quilt raffle to benefit the Women's Cancer Coalition – a group dedicated to providing cancer services for underinsured or uninsured women in Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties.

The Vintage Beauty quilt, designed and sewn by LuAnn Kessi of JanniLou Creations in Philomath, is handmade and features beautiful scalloped edges. The 72” by 85” quilt has been appraised at $575.

Tickets are $1 each or 7 for $5 and are available by calling (541) 738-2065, option 2. Only 2,000 tickets will be sold. Tickets will also be available at cancer centers, mammography centers and businesses where the quilt will be displayed until the drawing at Puttin' on the Pink Education Day, Oct. 12, 2010.

The quilt is on display through May at the Samaritan Regional Cancer Center, at 501 NW Elks Drive. Proceeds from the raffle will be used to provide screening services for breast and cervical cancer.
