Ben Hudson, DO,
recently came in third place in a case presentation contest at the 2011 American College of Osteopathic Internists Convention and Scientific Sessions in San Antonio. More than 30 cases were presented in the division.
Dr. Hudson is a third-year internal medicine resident at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. Following his graduation from the program this spring, he will serve as the chief resident for the internal medicine residency program.
A case presentation is a formal communication between health care professionals regarding a patient’s clinical information. Essential parts of a case presentation include: identification, reason for consultation/admission, chief complaints, history of present illness, past medical and surgical history, current medications, allergies and much more.
