When Angelina Jolie announced that she underwent a risk-reducing double mastectomy after learning of her genetic risk for breast cancer, many women began to question their own personal risk for the disease.
On Monday, Oct. 21, at 12:30 p.m., breast surgeon Mary Harada, MD, of Samaritan Breast Surgical Specialists, will speak about breast health and breast cancer. She will discuss BRCA mutations and the latest in genetic testing for breast cancer, as well as answer questions from attendees.
Registration is requested. Call 541-812-5888 to reserve your seat, as space is limited. Bring a sack lunch.
The seminar takes place at the Samaritan Cancer Resource Center, located at 400 NW Hickory St. in North Albany. Call 541-812-5888 for more information.
