Samaritan Early Learning Center

As part of its community outreach to young children and families, Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital supports the Samaritan Early Learning Center in Lincoln City. The center provides care to children 6 weeks to 6 years old – regardless of the income level of their parents -- in a supportive educational environment.

The center is important to the community, because it provides extended service hours to accommodate parents’ schedules. Children may be dropped off on weekdays as early as 6:45 a.m. and picked up as late as 8 p.m. Although only 20 percent of the children at the center are children of Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital employees, the hospital nonetheless subsidizes childcare fees for all the center’s children. (The other 80 percent are children from the community whose parents work at businesses within north Lincoln County.)

The Samaritan Early Learning Center provides children with experiences that help them increase their individual awareness, recognize their capabilities, and build confidence and competency for moving successfully to the next stages of education.

For more information, call the center at (541) 994-2825.
