Health Education Classes
Every year, Samaritan Health Services offers hundreds of regularly-scheduled classes and one-time seminars on dozens of health-related topics. Some classes require nominal fees, and many others are free of charge. For example, for new mothers, there are free classes on “Anesthesia and Pain Relief Options,” “Breast-feeding,” and “Caring for your New Baby.” For seniors, there are free classes on “Senior Care Options.” Most classes are held in the hospitals’ conference rooms.
Some classes, such as “Look Good…Feel Better” (for cancer patients) and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR classes for heart health) are offered at SHS hospitals in cooperation with national and regional health organizations.
