SHS Libraries

The medical library system of Samaritan Health Services is a vital resource for medical staff, administration, and employees. In addition, the library system serves as a community resource to provide consumer health information in cities and towns served by SHS.

Libraries in the SHS system include Murray Memorial Library on the campus of Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, which includes approximately 1,200 book titles, 250 journal subscriptions, and audiovisual and Internet resources. The system also includes the James R. Mol Resource Library at Samaritan Regional Cancer Center in Corvallis, the Stanley K. Davis Library at Samaritan Albany General Hospital, and smaller libraries located throughout the SHS system.

Among the services SHS libraries offer to the community are:

  • On-site access to books and periodicals
  • Help with literature searches/references
  • Patient education videos (See “Health On Video”)
  • Consumer Health Bookstore (at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center)
