- Course fee, payable to Samaritan Health Services:
- Classroom: $1,000
- Combination online/classroom option: $1,200
- Criminal background fee: $70, payable to Samaritan Health Services, non-refundable once processed, results are acceptable for one year.
- Reading comprehension test fee, payable to a community college. LBCC offers a reading comprehension test for approximately $6. An unofficial college transcript showing passing grades in a college-level course may be acceptable in place of a reading comprehension test. Professional Development will determine if the class taken meets minimum requirements.
- Drug screen fee, payable to a drug testing facility. Samaritan Occupational Medicine offers this service for $38.
- LBCC registration fee: $125 lab fee. Additional costs may apply.
After completion of the Samaritan nurse assistant training program, additional costs to become a certified nursing assistant in Oregon will include:
- $106 for the state exam fee.
- $20-50 for finger prints.
- $52 for the national criminal background check.
