CNA level 2 Acute Care Course

CNA level 2 Acute Care Course

Our CNA level 2 acute care course is a 64-hour course fulfilling the Oregon State Board of Nursing requirements for CNA level 2 acute care training. It incorporates the concepts of safety and preventing complications, communicating patient responses to the nurse, and documenting/recording outcomes of patient care. To be eligible for CNA level 2 certification individuals must hold a current, unencumbered Oregon CNA 1 certificate and be listed on the CNA registry.

Classroom sessions will be held Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with one half-hour lunch and two fifteen-minute breaks. There are six classroom sessions and they will be held at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital in Lebanon.

The clinical experience is three days and will be held at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. Hours will be from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. with one half-hour lunch and two fifteen-minute breaks. Scheduled shifts will be rotated between students.

Following successful completion of the course, a certificate of completion is awarded to the student and we will apply to OSBN for the student's CNA 2 certification. Students will also earn four credits from LBCC.
