OHSU and AHEC Students

 
The Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program is a partnership between OHSU and Oregon communities. Its purpose is to improve the education, training and distribution of health care professionals in Oregon. Samaritan Health Services is pleased to be a partner in this program and offer rotations to medical students.

If you are an OHSU student completing rotations through AHEC, please begin the online orientation process listed below.

The online orientation consists of reviewing Samaritan policies and trainings, signing a confidentiality statement and providing immunization records.

These records need approval from the Office of Medical Education.

At least 30 days before your arrival, we ask that you complete the following:

Review policies and associated materials
  Communicating effectively   Harassment
  Confidential and proprietary information   Dress
  Workplace safety and violence reduction   Safety training
  Substance abuse   HIPAA training
  Computer use and security   SHS initiatives
Web ambassador (PACS) training PCI manual
  HIPAA Minimum Necessary Standard
