Samaritan Health Services offers osteopathic graduate medical education programs that encompass total healthcare of the individual and for families and the advantages of a large healthcare delivery system encompassing five hospitals, clinics, urgent care centers and a senior care facility with a vibrant academic setting. The population of the service area is approximately 250,000. The hospitals are part of the historical fabric of Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon, Lincoln City and Newport and the surrounding communities and our physicians and employees are rooted in the communities they serve.

Our internship and residency programs are approved by the American Osteopathic Association Division of Postdoctoral Training and meet the requirements for specialty board certification. Applicants are selected on the basis of academic performance and personal qualifications regardless of race, sex, color, religion or national origin. Our program is led by Paul Daskalos, D.O., Interim Director of Medical Education.

Our base hospital, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, is located in Corvallis, Oregon. Corvallis is a diverse and thriving college town that is home to more than 50,000 residents. It is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley and is just a short drive to the beautiful Oregon coast and the Portland metropolitan area. It is the largest hospital in Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties, offering more than 22 medical specialties including comprehensive cancer care, a full-service cardiology and cardiac and vascular surgery program, sleep lab, neurosurgery, integrative medicine and other regional services. It is licensed to operate 188 beds and is one of only three Level 2 trauma centers in the state.
