CNA Level 2 Acute Care Training Program
Our CNA Level 2 Acute Care Training is a 64-hour course fulfilling the Oregon State Board of Nursing requirements for CNA level 2 acute care training. It incorporates the concepts of safety and preventing complications, communicating patient responses to the nurse, and documenting/recording outcomes of patient care. To be eligible for CNA level 2 certification individuals must hold a current, unencumbered Oregon CNA 1 certificate and be listed on the CNA registry.
Classroom sessions will be held Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a half-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks. There are six classroom sessions and they will be held at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.
The clinical experience is three days and will be held at Albany General Hospital or Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. Hours will be from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. with a half-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Scheduled shifts will be rotated between students (we reserve the right to change this schedule at any time). All students are required to complete the clinical experience.
Following successful completion of the course, a certificate of completion is awarded to the student and we will apply to the OSBN for the student's CNA 2 certification. Students will also earn four credits from LBCC.
