Foundation OverviewThank you for taking a moment to learn more about the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation. Throughout its history, Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital has benefited from tremendous community support. The hospital, staff and physicians hold a unique place in the hearts of local residents, who are justifiably proud of what they have built and nourished here. Over the years, the foundation has raised more than seven million dollars to update hospital equipment and enhance its health care programs. The foundation also administers the Frank Girod, M.D. Medical Scholarship and a growth fund to maximize accumulated assets. We have been proud of the Health Career and Training Center project. Our partnership with Linn Benton Community College to train and certify students for rewarding careers in medical professions helps to meet the growing demand for health care workers. The serene healing garden surrounded by the Health Career and Training Center, the Girod Birth Center and the Emenhiser Center brings the soothing quality of the natural world to our patients, hospital staff and visitors. We believe these special projects have created an extraordinary role for our rural hospital that continues to make an impact across our state! We are now involved in a project that we believe we will have a dramatic impact on our entire region: the Health Sciences Campus Project. We encourage you to read more about this exciting endeavor. We are proud to be a part of the hospital and its very important health care mission. MissionOur mission is to further the mission of Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital through support of its programs and projects, and by appropriate representation to the public with respect to the hospital’s needs and goals. The foundation solicits and administers assets and provides financial support for improvement and expansion of hospital facilities and services related to health care, including preventive health and health maintenance.
