Equipment and Capital Projects

Hospital equipment and capital improvements are always a funding priority for the Foundation.

Examples of 2008 projects your gift can help support include:

  • Purchasing updated equipment to provide the best care to patients
  • Assisting low-income, uninsured residents in obtaining necessary medical attention
  • Scholarships for local students to receive nursing or other medical training

Patient Care Programs You Can Support

  • Unrestricted Fund — Where the need is the greatest.
  • Prescription Medication Fund — Provides short-term urgent need medications to patients who have no means to pay for them.
  • Diabetes Support Fund — Provides money to send uninsured, newly diagnosed diabetics (who qualify financially) to diabetes management classes and provides glucose monitor and test strips for up to six months.
  • Cardiac Support Fund — Provides money for patient care and diagnostic needs.
  • Cancer Support Fund — Provides money for uncompensated patient care, infusion therapy and education materials.
  • Mammography Fund — Provides mammograms for uninsured, low-income women.
  • Hospice Care Fund — Free care and assistance grants to patients and families in financial need.
  • Equipment and Capital Projects Fund — Provides dollars to purchase needed hospital equipment and assist with patient service area remodels.
  • Mary Decker Health Care Education Endowment — Provides assistance to North Lincoln County residents who wish to obtain a degree in nursing or medical tech programs.
  • Pediatric Fund — Provides funds for children's health screenings and free immunizations.
  • Charity Care Fund — Helps cover hospital bills for patients living in poverty.
