Appointments

Making An Appointment

Each InterCommunity Health Network PCP has routine office hours. Most offices are open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.  When making an appointment please remember to:

  • Call during office hours.
  • Schedule your appointments in advance.
  • Always tell the office you are an InterCommunity Health Network member.

Going To Your Appointment

  • Take your OMAP Medical Care ID and your IHN Member ID Card.
  • Make a list of what you need to discuss with your PCP.
  • Make a list of any medications you are currently taking including over-the counter medications or herbal supplements.

Being A Responsible Health Plan Member

  • If your PCP is new to you, schedule an appointment to discuss your medical history and what services you will need to prevent illnesses.
  • Make appointments to take care of health problems and illnesses so they do not become emergencies.  Follow the treatment you agree upon with your PCP.
  • Keeping your appointment is very important.  Please be considerate to your doctor and other patients by attending all appointments. If you cannot keep an appointment, it is your responsibility to call your PCP’s office and cancel.  Do this as soon as you can. Do not forget to reschedule appointments your PCP told you to make. You may be dismissed from your doctor’s practice if you miss too many appointments.
  • Pay required copayments (if appropriate) at the time of service.
  • Make regular appointments for preventive care.
