Class Opportunities

Samaritan Health Services is pleased to offer you health related classes and support groups at our local hospitals: Samaritan Albany General Hospital, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, and Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. For your convenience, we offer many classes at each location. InterCommunity Health Network covers many of the class fees. You can find dates and times listed in the Health Information and Classes section of this Web site. Some classes that IHN covers include:

Quitting for Life: Tobacco Cessation Services

Tobacco Cessation Programs are a covered benefit for IHN members.  Once every 12 months IHN will pay the enrollment fee for tobacco cessation classes/programs.

Quitting tobacco classes are offered in your local area:

  • Samaritan Albany General Hospital:

  • Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center:

IHN also offers other ways to help you stop using tobacco, including a telephone-based program, “Free and Clear.”  For more information, call 1-800-292-2336.

If your doctor feels that you need a prescription to help you quit, and you are enrolled in a class/program, IHN will pay for four (4) months of medication to make quitting easier.

Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Services

These services include outpatient, intensive outpatient detoxification, hospital treatment, and methadone maintenance. To obtain a list of chemical dependency providers, call our Member Services Department at 1-800-757-5114 or TTY 1-800-735-2900.

Mental Health Services

Check your OMAP Medical Care ID for your mental health benefits. Mental health services include an assessment, case management, therapy, medication management, and inpatient psychiatric care from the appropriate mental health organization (MHO) based on the county you live in.

Diabetes Classes

Samaritan Health Services offers a variety of classes on diabetic education and management throughout the year. IHN will pay for members to attend any of these classes. Call the numbers below for more information.
