Frequently Asked Questions

How do I contact my caseworker?

Your caseworker’s phone number is listed as #6 on your mauve and white OMAP Medicare Care ID.

Whom do I contact to change my address or name?

Call your caseworker.

Do I have to pick a Primary Care Provider (PCP)?

Yes, if you are enrolled in IHN. Each family member may choose a different PCP. Call our Member Services Department for more information.

What if I need health services after hours?

Call your PCP. Your PCP has phone coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will give you advice on what to do.

Why are my children in a managed care plan, but I am not?

Call your caseworker.

Whom do I call if I become pregnant or give birth?

Call your caseworker as soon as possible. You baby may be eligible for OHP coverage.

What dentist can I get my dental care from?

Call the Dental Plan listed on your OMAP Medical Care ID. If you do not have a Dental Plan listed, call your caseworker. SafeNet may also be able to help you. You may call SafeNet at 1-800-723-3638.

If I have other coverage for medical services (for example, a settlement, Worker’s Compensation, or other health insurance), whom do I need to call?

You need to call your caseworker and IHN both. Give us a call! You should also tell anyone that gives you services.
