Welcome to Samaritan Urgent Care at Geary Street Clinic, a walk-in clinic of Samaritan Albany General Hospital, where local residents and visitors receive high-quality medical care that is fast, convenient and affordable. We are a walk-in health care facility treating acute medical conditions – those conditions that have flared up and are hurting, aching or bothering you right now.
We treat conditions that require immediate attention but are not considered to be life threatening or severe enough to be cared for in the emergency room. Some examples of common urgent care conditions are:
- Sore throat
- Ear infection/pain
- Minor cuts/abrasions
- Minor burns
- Muscle strains
- Vomiting/diarrhea
- Cold or flu symptoms
Walk-in care is a good option if you have an acute condition, such as one of those listed, your regular primary care provider’s (PCP) office is closed or when you cannot wait for the next available PCP appointment. Walk-in care is not meant to be used for routine medical care.
