Urgent care is a walk-in health care facility that treats acute medical conditions — those conditions that have flared up and are hurting, aching or bothering you right now. It treats conditions that require immediate attention but are not considered to be life threatening or severe enough to be cared for in the Emergency Department.
Some examples of common urgent care conditions are:
- sore throat
- ear infection/pain
- minor cuts/abrasions
- minor burns
- muscle strains
- cold or flu symptoms
