Sridhar Vijayasekaran, MD

Personal Biography:

Dr. Vijayasekaran's areas of expertise include advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear stress imaging, bedside right heart catheterization, hypertension and cardiac device management. He has particular interest in working with internal medicine and geriatric patients, addressing the special cardiovascular challenges facing this aging population.

Before joining Samaritan Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. Vijayasekaran worked at the University of Buffalo as an attending physician, clinical assistant professor and associate program director of the cardiology fellowship program.

Dr. Vijayasekaran is married and has two children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family camping and hiking.
