Barbara George, RD

Personal Biography:

Barbara is a registered dietitian with 17 years of experience in the field of nutrition. Barbara has enhanced her clinical and counseling skills during her years in acute and long-term care, most recently working with patients with diabetes, cancer and obesity in the outpatient setting.

After completing the Food as Medicine clinical training program by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine she began to integrate a holistic approach when working with chronically ill patients, emphasizing whole foods as well as the role of the environment and community in nutrition.

"I am a strong advocate for the healing powers of nutrition and I use my experience working in mental health to bring a holistic and behavioral approach to nutrition therapy."

    Nutrition services provides dietary education and consultation through a registered dietititan for those wanting general nutrition guidance or those needing to make adjustments to their diet due to cancer, diabetes, digestive disorders, eating disorders, food allergies, gestational diabetes, heart disease and more.
