Barbara is a registered dietitian with 17 years of experience in the field of nutrition. Barbara has enhanced her clinical and counseling skills during her years in acute and long-term care, most recently working with patients with diabetes, cancer and obesity in the outpatient setting.
After completing the Food as Medicine clinical training program by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine she began to integrate a holistic approach when working with chronically ill patients, emphasizing whole foods as well as the role of the environment and community in nutrition.
