Barry Smith, MD

Personal Biography:

Dr. Smith is the director of Inpatient Care Services at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. He earned a medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and completed residency training in internal medicine at Wright Patterson Medical Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

He served as a physician in the United States Air Force for 11 years. Dr. Smith is a fellow in the American College of Physicians and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He is board certified in internal medicine.

His personal interests include cycling, running and hiking.

    When you require hospitalization, your primary care provider or an emergency department doctor will coordinate your admission with a doctor who specializes in caring for hospital patients. This doctor is called a hospitalist. The hospitalist works closely with hospital staff to coordinate and provide your hospital care.
