Cynthia Sharples, DO

Personal Biography:

Dr. Sharples was born in Paris, France, but grew up in Dayton, Ohio. She spent three years in the Peace Corps providing humanitarian service in Botswana, Africa. She also served in the U.S. Army as a major for seven years in active duty and six years of reserve service. Dr. Sharples is fluent in French and Setswana. 

In addition to her practice, Dr. Sharples serves as the program director of the internal medicine residency program at Samaritan Health Services.

  • Geriatrics
    Providers with additional certification in geriatrics specialize in caring for older adults. They are trained in the aging process and the associated diseases and conditions.
  • Internal Medicine
    Internal medicine providers focus on adult medicine and have had special training to diagnose and treat adult diseases. They may be physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants. They serve as a primary care provider for their patients.
