Francis Celis, DO, FACC

Dr. Celis joined Samaritan Heart & Vascular Institute in 2009 from Oakwood Southshore Medical Center in Trenton, Mich., where he trained as a fellow in cardiology. Dr. Celis' educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University, a medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and residency training at NY Downtown Hospital in New York City.

He is board certified in cardiology, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine. Dr. Celis is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Internists.

A native of New York City, Dr. Celis planned to return to New York upon completion of his fellowship but instead selected Corvallis for its lifestyle and college-town atmosphere.  He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, attending Oregon State University athletic events, pick-up basketball and the many outdoor activities the area has to offer.
