Personal Biography:

John Navarro received a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Davis and a dual master's degree in physician assistant studies and public health from Touro University in Vallejo, Calif. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery. 

Prior to joining Samaritan, John taught biology in San Francisco and worked as an online teacher in professional development. Most recently, John worked as a physician assistant in internal medicine in Petaluma, Calif.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

  • Cardiovascular Surgery
    Cardiovascular surgery is surgery on the heart or large vessels, performed by surgeons to treat complications of ischemic heart disease (for example, coronary artery bypass grafting), congenital heart disease, or valvular heart disease from various causes including endocarditis, rheumatic heart disease and atherosclerosis. Services include less invasive bypass surgery requiring only very small incisions, as well as other innovative treatment options for a variety of heart conditions.
