Dr. Merkle received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Regis University in Denver, Colo., and a medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Calif.

Away from the office, Dr. Merkle enjoys Bikram yoga, rock climbing, snowshoeing and trail running with her dog.

She is a second-year family medicine resident.
