Personal Biography:

Dr. Wood received a bachelor’s degree in biology from University of New Orleans, a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Upper Iowa University and a medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

In her free time she enjoys reading, riding her bike and spending time with her family.

Dr. Wood is a second-year internal medicine resident.

  • Internal Medicine
    Internal medicine providers focus on adult medicine and have had special training to diagnose and treat adult diseases. They may be physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants. They serve as a primary care provider for their patients.

    Resident physicians, known as residents, are individuals who have received a medical degree and practice medicine under the supervision of fully licensed physicians, usually in a hospital or clinic.

    Medical residency provides in-depth training within a specific branch of medicine such as family practice, internal medicine, psychiatry, orthopedic surgery, general surgery or other specialties and builds upon the broad range of medical knowledge and basic clinical skills learned in medical school, enabling the physician to get more hands-on medical practice experience.
