Personal Biography:

Dr. Nelson earned a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University, and a medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

In his free time, he enjoys inventing and building medical devices, running, weight lifting, gardening, hiking and cooking.

Dr. Nelson is a cardiology fellow with Samaritan Heart & Vascular Institute.

The three-year Cardiology Fellowship Program strives to build competency in the field through self-study, didactic instruction and supervised exposure to cardiac pathology. The program is approved by the American Osteopathic Association and is structured to ensure that fellows acquire the consulting expertise and the technical skills required of a cardiologist.
