Marie Long, MD

Personal Biography:

Dr. Long is board certified in neurosurgery in both the United States and Canada, and practices general neurosurgery. She earned a medical degree from the University of Manitoba in Canada, completed an internship at the Los Angeles County Hospital in California, and residency training in neurosurgery at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Long practiced for several years at the University of Calgary, establishing a Spinal Injury Program. Before fulfilling her life-long wish to live and work in the Pacific Northwest, she practiced in Decatur, Ill. Dr. Long has a passion for assisting developing countries improve their access to medical care and neurosurgical treatment. When not working, she likes to garden, cook, hike and travel.

Dr. Long primarily sees emergent patients, providing follow-up care at Samaritan Neurosurgery. At this time, she is not accepting new patient referrals.
