Michael Bachop, PhD

Personal Biography:

As part of the health care team at Samaritan Internal Medicine, Dr. Bachop is a primary care psychologist who strongly believes that an empathic doctor-patient relationship forms the best foundation for healing to occur.

As a primary care psychologist, Dr. Bachop is skilled in psychological assessment and diagnosis of common mental health concerns of patients of all ages. Primary care psychologists see the patient as a “whole person.” They work collaboratively with other health care professionals—such as physicians, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants—to provide total care for each patient's physical and mental health needs.

Dr. Bachop's personal interests include hiking, fishing, biking, exercise, cooking, listening to music, reading, creative writing, film and the arts.
