Since the first open heart surgery was performed at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis in 1996, the hospital has become a recognized leader in heart and vascular care for quality, patient experience and outcomes.
In order to meet the growing demand for services, a five-story, 35,000-square-foot addition to Good Sam called the
Ralph Hull Regional Heart Center was completed in 2002. At that time, a cardiac surgery team, a cardiology group, vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists all provided top-notch care to patients working within their own individual clinical practices.
In 2006, these physicians and surgeons came together to form the Samaritan Heart & Vascular Institute. With the patient experience in mind, the groups have joined together as a comprehensive, center of excellence you can trust to provide you and your loved ones with the best care possible.
