Since its inception, Good Samaritan has benefited from unusually strong community support.

Community contributions funded numerous expansions of Good Samaritan Hospital at its former Harrison Boulevard location, and, with the establishment of the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation in 1972, helped raise funds to build the new state-of-the-art hospital at its current location. That building opened in 1975.

Since the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation was established, Corvallis-area residents have been asked to support three major fund drives for hospital improvements. The first, in 1984, made radiation therapy treatment available locally for cancer patients and funded a major expansion to the hospital’s outpatient services. The second, in 1989, expanded and enhanced the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and Short Stay Center for outpatient surgery.

The Samaritan Heart & Vascular Institute focuses on a health concern that touches many individuals personally and elevates the community’s cardiac services into a true regional center.

We ask you to consider how this center enhances heart care for residents in the region – perhaps for you or someone close to you. Consider, too, Good Samaritan’s long-term commitment to clinical excellence and community-based care.

Next, consider a gift, and make a real difference in the region’s continued cardiac care.
