Robert Read, MD, PhD
Bob Read, a board-certified surgeon, is the medical director of the Samaritan Bariatric Program and the trauma medical director at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
Prior to joining Samaritan, he practiced with the Corvallis-based Willamette Surgical Associates for six years. Dr. Read earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver and completed his PhD work in radiation biology at Colorado State University. He completed both an internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
