Mark Anthony Taylor, MD
Mark Taylor, a cardiothoracic surgeon, is triple board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care from the American Board of Surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery from the American Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica. He completed his internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York and general surgery training at Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C.
In addition, he completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and cardiothoracic training at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich. Prior to joining Samaritan, Dr. Taylor worked at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
His areas of expertise include mitral valve repair, surgery for atrial fibrillation and aortic aneurysms.
